Abstract:
In conclusion adiponectin was significantly decreased in hypertension and more significantly decreased in hypertension with CVD. It was significantly correlated with other studied cardiovascular risk factors as atherogenic lipid profile and hs-CRP. The anti inflammatory and anti atherogenic properties of adiponectin have made adiponectin a promising therapeutic tool for future, with potential applications in states associated with low plasma adiponectin levels.
