Genetic variation at transforming growth factor- promoter (-509 C/T) among atopic asthmatic patients

The aim of present study was to screen for -509 C/T SNP in the TGF-β1 promoter among some asthmatic patients and healthy subjects as control group to determine:1. The prevalence of -509T C/T SNP in asthmatic patients and control group and its association with asthma susceptibility and severity.2. Its effect on TGF-β1 plasma level in asthmatics in comparison with control group.3. Its effect on serum total IgE level and peripheral blood eosinophil count (PBEC).
