Correlation between the refractive and the keratometric changes

Purpose: of the study is the detect correlation between the refractive and keratometric changes after myopic LASIK.Patients and methods: 100 eyes underwent LASIK for myopia ranging (-1 to -19D mean -7 ±4.02 D). All patients had vidokeratography before LASIK and 6 months after LASIK and changes in keratometric value were compared with refractive changes.Results: Changes in keratometric value were well correlated with changes in refraction correlation coefficient 0.89 P < 0.01.Conclusion: Changes in keratometric value measured by videokeratography had highly positive correlation with refractive changes.Key word: myopia, LASIK, Corneal topography.
