Abstract:
The aim of this work was to Evaluate Posterior Vertical Capsulotomy with Optic Entrapment of IOL in pediatric Cataract as a modified surgical technique for Prevention of PCO.The study included 20 eyes divided into two groups: group A that underwent Posterior Vertical Capsulotomy with Optic Entrapment of IOL and group B that underwent posterior capsulotomy and anterior vitrectomy, each group included 10 eyes.The success rate was 90% in both groups.Posterior Vertical Capsulotomy with Optic Entrapment of IOL was found to be a safe and good technique for Prevention of PCO in pediatric cataract.
