Abstract:
Aim of the work: This study will focus the light on the sleep disturbances in different psychiatric disorders.Normal sleep is characterized by continuously varying activity of bodymovement, dreaming and physiological and biochemical systems. On the basis of EEG sleep is made up of two physiological states NREM.andREM. NREM sleep is made of up four stages that a normal subject passes through itfrom stage 1 ( the highest stage) to stage 4 ( the deepest one). Serotonin, and acetylcholine Neurotransmitters are closely involved in theproduction and maintenance of sleep
