study of some pharmacokinetic parameters and cardiovascular effects of ghalakinoside

The aim of the present work is to study some pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters of ghalakinoside on rabbits and albino rats. The pharmacokinetic parameters selected are the bioavailability after oral and intramuscular administration, half-life ”t1/2”, volume of distribution ”Vd”, systemic clearance, renal and biliary elimination. The pharmacodynamic studies include assessment of some cardiovascular effects of ghalakinoside on blood pressure, heart rate, electrocardiogram, experimentally induced ischemia-reperfusion injury and acute myocardial infarction.
