Non – Steroidal Anti – inflammatory Drug Gastropathy and its Relation to Helicobacter pylori

Abstract:
- This study included 60 patients of various joint and back disease.- They are subdivided according to, weather they received NSAIDs or not, in to two groups.- Group I. Included 40 symptomatic patients with gastric dyspepsia, and gastric troubles, they received NSAIDs, being chronic users of it.- Group II, included 20 symptomatic patients with gastric dyspepsia and gastric troubles, who are not maintained or received NSAIDs .- All cases were subjected thorough history taking and examination, laboratory investigation, including blood sugar, blood urea, serum creatinin, liver function test and complete blood picture as well as radiological and ultra sound examination.- All cases had performed upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, together with taking multiple mucosal biopsies from stomoch (body and antrum) and duodenum.- All biopsies were examined fro histopathologic changes, and for urease test and Gimsa stain.
