1. Dobutamine stress transesophageal echocardiography is a safe, and useful modality of stress.2. The semi-invasive, non exercise dobutamine stress transesophageal two dimensional echocardiography must be more widely used as a useful alternative to conventional stress testing especially if transthoracic echocardiographic images are suboptimal.3. Dobutamine stress transesophageal echocardiography has a higher sensitivity for diagnosis of myocardial ischaemia (100%), also a higher specificity for the main vascular territories.4. The test has no statistical ~ficance in detecting LAD lesions more than Rc or ex lesions.5. The test has no statistical significance in detecting single vessel disease more than two vessels or three vessels disease.6. The present study expands the ever-increasing clinical applications of trans esophageal echocardiography.
