Association between plasma renin activity and metabolic cardiovascular risk factors in essential hypertension

this study was designed to 1- Evaluate variation of the levels of PRA in patients with essentialhypertension.2- Study the indices of glucose, insulin and lipid metabolism in patientswith essential hypertension according to their renin profile to verifywhether or not there is an association between PRA and other metabolicrisk factors namely dyslipidaemia and hyperinsulinemia.The study was carried out on 50 subjects.
