HLA Class I Antigens in Pediatric Patients with Rheumatic Fever

The aim of this study is to clarify the relation between HLA andrheumatic fever.This study was conducted in Pediatric and Microbiologydepartments, faculty of medicine, Zagazig University during the periodfrom December 1999 to August 2000.In this study twenty-four children suffering from rheumatic feverand their age ranged between 6-15 years with the mean age of 10.9, theywere 8 males and 16 females subjected to our study. Also 20 controlcases with the nearly same age and socio- economic class were includedin this study.
