Hydrocele sclerotherapy by phenol 2.5%

fifthy patients in zagazig university hospital with chronic vaginal hydrocele were cured by one injection while two injections are reguired in 15 patients,3 injections in 6 hydroceles and 4 injections in 2 patients and one patients required 6 injection and one patient developed local allergic reacrion and he was considered by us as afailure our complications were limited and very mild in the from of scrotal odema and inflmmation in one patient and very mild pain in one patient no heamatoma no infection were encountered no recurrence were seen in the 6 months follow up after achievment of cure but long term follow-up is recommended.
