Abstract:
water the principal constituent of the body.it forms the bulk amount of the cellular protoplasm and is the necessary to transport of essential metabolic factors to the cell and also of waste products to the exterior in this aquous medium the electrolytes of the body are find in solution.some of these like k+, ca++ and mg++ are necessary for normal cell function , whereas others like na+ and cl- maintain an adequate osmotic pressure for the extracellular water.
