Abstract:
This work was carried out with the aim of studyingpattern of tympanometric measurements after successfulmyringoplasty and its comparison with the pre and post-operative hearing function.Our subjects were selected from patients presenting tothe ear, nose and throat clinic of the military hosipitals.30 Patients out of 72, who underwentmyringoplasty were included in this study.successful* The criteria of subject selection before surgery wasbased on the following :Simple dry perforation as shown by clinicalexamination, conductive hearing loss with normal boneconduction curve by the aid of audiometry, an intact mobileossicular chain and a good eustachian tube function.* operative data gathered during exploration of the middleear concerning the state of the ossicular chain, the stateof tympanic orifice of eustachian tube and the state ofmiddle ear mucosa.-operative evaluation after one month* Potmonthswasfollowedbasedoncompleteand threeotological.
