Abstract:
The subject of male erectile impotence has long been ignored and the li terature contained very few i terns; de~ling with it, on the concept that it was a hardly cur~ able psychological trouble •. Re:ently, impotence has been receiving more and more attention on the assumption that it might be a curable disease if well investigated and the appropriate treatment effored. This led many research-workers to investigate the aetiologicaJ. factors of impotence and the different means of~diagnosis and investigations which finally enabled them to discover new and effective methods and techniques for its trea tmen t • First a review of the anatomy of the male external genilalia, followed by physiology of erection was essential.
