Evaluation of renal tubular function patients with B - thalassaemia

the study amid to Study the renal tubular function in patients with 13-Thalassaemia ,andeffect of desferioxamine on renal function.The present study was carried out in Pediatric and Clinical BiochemistryDepartments , Faculty of Medicine , Zagazig University in the period fromMarch 1999 to March 2000 . It included 40 children with ~ - thalassemia maj~attending the Haemtology and Oncology Outpatient clinic of ZagazigUniversity Hospitals, previously diagnosed and fulfilling all the clinical criteriaof the disease ( 23 of them were males & 17 were females), their age rangedfrom 3 - 5 to 15 years .
