Abstract:
The aim of our study was to compare chest pain charcteristics inpatient with normal and abnormal coronary angiograms and to definethose characteristics most closely associated with a diagnosis of typicalchest pain based on angiographic findings. The main findings of this study showed that, there were noimportant differences in the site, quality, and radiation of chet painbetween patients with normal and abnormal coronary angiograms butthree symptoms had discriminatory value expressed in binary fashion(”typical” or ”atypical”): the consistency with which pain wasreproduced by exercise (typical, score index 10/10 ), the duration of painepisodes (typical, five minutes ), and the frequancy of pain at rest(typical. score index 0 or 1/10 )
