pain is unpleasant sensation which can be described in different terms and in different contexts: neurologists speak in terms of nerve impulses,psychologists in terms of emotional qualities; philosophers in terms of sensations, feeling, suffering and meaning, and theologians in terms of guilt and punishment recently pain clinics are gaining wide popular acceptance and marked refinement in the techniques of diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain is being applied at such clinics.
