Abstract:
Normal bacterial flora can beJivided intotial pathogens and true commensals.Potentialgens were found to cause tissue damage. In tissuee the ESR was found to be elevated.The object of this study was to identify nasoph-eal flora in hospi tal staff comparing them wi thESR as a diagnostic moni tor. To fulfil this aimndividuals aged 20-50 years were subjected toharyngeal swabbing in order to isolate and defineormal flora in their nasopharynx I as well as bloodes to estimate the ESR level in each case.”illdings of this study were:ncidence of potential pathogens was mostly inases with mean ESR levels in the high side.ncidence of true commensals was in cases with meanSR levels in the intermediate and low sides.mmendation:e recommended carrying out ESR testing for alli tal staff members and trea tmen t of those showingnormal levels of ESR in order to avoid their dangereing a focus for spread of infection and disease.
