Abstract:
Recurrent inguinal hernias is one of the most frequently encountered surgical problems and its surgical treatment continues to undergo technical modification, the introduction of minimally invasive sW’gery had added a possible new dimension.In this work, (15) patients with recurrent inguinal hernias were treated by laparoscopic transabdominal preperitolleal repair and evaluated for operative time, hospital stay, postoperative pain, return to full activities of daily life and complications including early recurrence in a period of six months.~ The median operative times in our study were (122.3 minutes) (range, 60-150).~ There were no mortality or major intraoperative complications in our study.~ The post operative hospital stay was short and the median time to return to work was (5-25) days in our study.~ Less complications occurred in our patients.~No recurrences were reported in our study during the period of follow up.
