Cognitive Impairment After Strok Frequency And Patterns

The aim of this work has focused on cognitiveimpairment as a general indicator of intellectual decline followingischemic stroke.This study was conducted on 90 patients with I” ischemic cerebralstroke Thirty out of them were not enrolled in the study (five puiienswere died before 3 month examination, seventeen patients refusedneuropsychological assessment and eight patients whose reasons werenot identified.Patient’s age ranged from 11-75 years with the mean age55.06±10.4, of them there were 37 male (61.7%) and 23 female(38.3%).
