Abstract:
Chronic a bacterial prostatitis is poorly understood, ofteninadequately treated and bothersome ( Collins et al ., 1998 ) . Littlein anyprogress in treatment results have been achievedImprovement in the range of 70 % reported by ( Meares 1982) .Urethral hypertonicity wasproposed as an underlyingpathogeneticfactor ( Barbalias , 1990 ) . Increased maximumurethral closure pressure was noticed in cases with pelvic painsyndrome.It is responsible for causing symptom at rest and causingurine intraprostatic reflux symptoms at voiding . Chronic prostatitishas been shown to alter the pattern of flow curve Ghobish , 2000) .Use of alpha blockers improved cure rate and lowered symptomrecurrence rate ( Barbalias , 1998 ) . Anew symptom index forchronic prostatitis was developed by the national institute of health( Litwin et al ., 1999 ) to facilitate research and communication .This study aims to eAamin’e the effect of alpha blockers incases of chronic abacterial prostatitis ( NIH classification, 1999) anddetermine the clinical and urodynamic correlates
