Abstract:
Tissue kallikrein in the male genital tract might have aphysiological function in the regulation of its activity. It could produce there, aphysiological kinin level by its action on kininogens. Kinins are known to stimulate local blood flow, cell proliferation and prostaglandin synthesis. Hence kallikrein could be involved indirectly as afirst messenger in the function of genital tract and in the stimulation of sperm production and motility.
