Abstract:
During preparation of this review in the period from ,march 1988 to Julay 1989, clinical cases of protozoal dermaatoses in infants and children were very rare in the oupatient dermatology clinc at zagazig university medical centre. this may be explained in different ways.in Egypt ,the sandard of living is variable from towns to villages .protozoal dermatology particularly those which are transmitted through lack of cleanliness and care of hands, clothes and houses, are more prevalent in poor ignorent people (ungar et al., 1985). these are represented by amoebiasis, toxoplasmosis and trichmoniasis. even then poor people can now seek treatment in the cheap public health centres and hospitals.
