Hypothermia Under Paediatric Anaesthesia

Hypothermia is the clinical state of having a subnormal body temperature as indicated by monitoring the core temperature though a thermocouple probe in either of oesophagus, nasopharynx or tympanic member.the ideal site of measurement is the one provides the greatest accuracy with the least disadvantage.The interaction of drugs and hypothermia may take the from of either drug(s) interference with thermoregulatory mechanisms or as a hypothermic influence upon the drug action.
