Abstract:
Anaemia is depletion in the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood due to reduction in the r.b.c,s or their haemoglobin content or both. The average r.b.c,s count in adult male is 5.5 millions per cubic mm and 4.8 millions per cubic mm in adult femal.Haemoglobin is the red, oxygen carying pigment in the red blood cells or vertebrates, it is a protein with a molecular weight of 64.450 and it is of different types, normal(a, a2 fetal and embryonic), abnormal (c1 s1 h1 g1 e 1 etc…).
