Abstract:
For proper postoperative care of an asthmatic patient, we have to be aware of some of the posto-prative respiratory problems which the anaesthetist might face.postoperative respiratory failure can occure in patients who have normal pulmonary function preoperatively -morlon, 1973) and such factors as disturbances of acid base stats, change in the circulating blood volume, cardiac failure, compliance changes in the lungs and changes in ventilation perfusion characteristics are all important.
