Abstract:
Local anaesthetics may produce adverse effects .they affect nerve conduction and vasculature as the site of injection which are a local effect .they produce regional effects resulting from nerve conduction block , hypotension and respiratory depression .they produce focal effects usually when carried at high concentration via arterial supply to the brain.they produce systemic effects following i.v injection or absorption principally in the from of cns toxicity.
