Development of Myometrium in Human

the presental development was studied by light microscope on specimens were taken from uteri of fetuses between 14 and 40 weeks of gestation.longitudinal sections of the uterus revealed that the outer mesenchymal layer started differentiation into smooth muscle fibres as 14 weeks of gestation and complete differentiation into smooth muscle fibres occured at 31 to 40 weeks of gestation.
