Abstract:
Anatomy of some pelvic organs, which were the site ofpathological cases in this study, was reviewed briefly. Also, anatomy of normal pelvic arteries and theirnormal variations were reviewed. Then, the pathology of pelvic tumours, which are indirect relation to our work, was stated in a brief manner.Review of radiological techniques of pelvic arterio-graphy was reported after that.Using Seldinger’s technique of percutaneous transfemoralretrograde aortography, pelvic arteriography ”was done for100 cases. These comprise 10 normal cases, 38 cases ofgynaecological and obstetric tumours, 37 cases of bladdercarcinoma and 9 cases of cancer rectum and 6 cases of miscell-aneous pelvic tumours.Study of the obtained arteriograms, correlation of thearteriographic findings to the clinical and pathologicaldata available in each case and discussion of the results, were made.
