ROLE OF FASTIDIOUS MICROORGANISM IN URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS IN HEMODIALYSIS PATIENT

This this study were 80 patients (46 males 34females) suffering from end stage renal disease and undergoing regular haemodialysis, in the nephrology unit of Port Said general hospital .Aim of the study:To evaluate the occurrence of urinary tract infection in patients on maintenance haemodialysis.Methodology:All patients were subjected to detailed medical check up and urine culture and sensitivity.Results:We found that Forty three patients (53.73%) showed positive urineculture.They were (25) males (58.9%) and (18) females (41.9%).
