Abstract:
Nasal obstruction is a very common problem. Nasal obstruction hasbeen known to cause significant discomfort and it may affect the sensesof smell and taste.The most common cause of nasal obstruction is inferior turbinatehypertrophy. Several forms of surgical interventions are available forsolving this problem. The most common techniques used for this purposeare outfracture, cryosurgery, electrocautery, partial or total turbinateresection and SMD. Although all these techniques give accepted resultsas regard the relief of nasal obstruction, but still they are destructivemethods.
