Postnatal Histological Changes in the Small Intestine in Rabbit with Special Emphasis on the Ultrastructure of its Mucosa

nine newzeland rabbits of known ages regardless of sex were used in the study.they were divided into 3 groups,3animals each.their ages were 1 day, 3 weeks and 4 months.their ages corresponded to birth, weaning and adult respectively.the rabbits were housed under normal conditions, anaesthetized with ether and the small intestine was dissected.specimens were taken from the jejunum and ileum from each rabbit and prepared for light and electron microscopic examinations.
