Abstract:
Liver diseases are commonly affecting the Egyptian population. Schistosomiasis and hepatitis c viral infection are endemic diseases in egypt that predispose to the development of hepatic disease in Egyptian Society. Hepatic Hydrothorax is one of the serious complications of hepatic cirrhosis,it develops in 6% of the cases. In this study,fourty patients were studied in Zagazig university hospitals with refractory hepatic hydrothorax including, carefuly analysis of symptoms, signs and investigations. the goal of this study is to evaluate,prospectively, the usage of talcpleurodesis versus tetracycline pleurodesis in the management of cases of hepatichydrothorax that were refractory to other mrasures including megical treatment ,measures and thoracocentesis.
