Abstract:
The aim of the present study is to determine the presence of autoantibodies against oxidized LDL in coronary heart disease patients and their clinical significance Coronary artery disease (CAD) is an acute disease characterizel by hardening of the arteries due to long term deposit of blood lipids in coronary arteries. Oxidation of LDL is considered an initial step in atherosclerotic process. Oxidative modification of LDL is prerequisted for macrophage uptake and cellular accumulation of cholesterol. The aim of the present study was to estimate the presence of auto-antibodies againts oxidized LDL in coronary heart disease patients and their clinical significance.
