ANTERIOR APPROACH IN LUMBAR SPINE TRAUMATIC LESIONS AND ITS VASCULAR DIFFICULTIES

Anterior approaches to the lumbar spine have been described for more than fourty years. Many works had been done to evaluate these approaches but their indications,value and complications are still controvetsial. The aim of our work is to evaluate the different techniques of anterior approach (transperitoneal and retrperitoneal), indications,contraindications,advantages,disadvantages,surgical difficulties,and complications especially vascular complications and dealing with them,especially in cases of lumbar trauma.
