Humoral and cellular immune pesponses in dermatomycosis

In this work there was no sex predeliction for superficial fungus infections but both sexes were almost equally liable to affection. On the other hand, the younger ages were more liable to infection by fungi than the adult ones.in Occupational factors different fungal skin appeared to play a role diseases. The incidence was high in school children in this work; tinea capitis was the most common finding (64.04%). The scaly variety was the most frequent. The high incidence of affection by superficial fungal infections may be due to close contact with patients, either in the family or in the school,over crowdness, bad hygiene and P0verty. Most of cases in that age were suffering from tinea capitis. Ajoa and Akintunde(1985) mentioned that the prevalence rate of tinea capitis infection among the school children was high, specially at the age from 5 to 10 years. Canizares (1975) also reported that tinea capitis was common in tropics and subtropics, climatic environmental and socio- economic factors, as over crowding, poor hygiene and mal-nutrition, play an important role. In farmers and workers excessive sweating, contact with infected animals or infected persons.
