Abstract:
the respiratory system exists for exchange of gases between blood and the environment.the anaesthetist is responsible for adequate oxygenation for the patient both during and immediately after the operation.since the normal mechanism of ventilation is disturbed during clinical anaesthesia and since patients with copd allready have disturbed ventilation, knowledge of respiratory physiology and pulmonary.
