Anthralin is one of the compounds proved long ago to be an effective treatment for psoriasis. it was first synthesized by galewsky in germany in 1916 and named cignolin.it is the synthetic substitute of chrysarobin originally derived from south american araoba tree which had been used in treatment of psoriasis. anthralin was first used in germany, and later in ingram regimen in britain.
