Abstract:
Low baok pain is considered to include dosal painanywhere between the twelve thoracio vertebra and thelower buttocks or anus. Despite the medical advances inrecent decades, back pain remains one of the most frequentcomplaints enoountered clinioally. There are severaloauses of pain in the baok whioh are olassified accordingto s~rstemic origin as follows; Viscerogenic, Neurogenic,Vascular, Spondylogenio and Psychogenic also anotherolassifioation depend on Etiology as follows: Traumatioor chronio lumbar strain, Degenerative disorders (Osteoarthritis ,Herniated Diso, Spinal stenosis.& nerve root entrapnent)Inflammatory disorders e.g; AnkylolJing spondylitis,Arachnodi tis .and Rheumatoid arthrit;is. Metabolio disorderse.g. Osteoporosis. Gout, Diabetes and Paget’s disease.Mechanical oauses e.g; Poor muscle and chnonf,c posturalstrain. Post-operative e.g; sequelne of scar formation,Araohnoiditis and lastly psyohogenic •. Classification due to local lesions in the vertebrae,intervertebral Joints, Diecs, Sacro-iliac Joints, softtiSSue (Muscle and Ligaments), space occupying lesionsafthe spinal canal. syno,vial lining of the facets Jointsnerve roots, and bone can also be a source of pain.
