Abstract:
1- Light and electron microscopic techniqueshad been used during the course of this workin an effort to study the hi~tological andultrastructural characteristics of the normalhuman urinary bladder .2- Twenty specimens had• been used from grosslynormal human urinary bladder of different patients)aged between twenty and fifty years .J- The present light microscopic study had shownthat the human urinary bladder had three-layeredwall; mucous, muscular and serous.4- The ~overing epithelium was of transitionalvariety and consisted of more than six cell-layer~resting upon a loose texture of submucous a . This arrang-ment allowed the mucosa to be thrown into folds.
