Abstract:
Rhinoscleroma 1S a chronic specific granulomatous inflamma-tory disease caused by the organism klebsiella rhinoscleromatis.Microscopically there is connective tissue containing plasma cells, lymphocytes Mikulicz cells, polymorphonuclear leucocytes andRussell bodies. The phagocytic, complement, humoral and cell-mediatedimmune systems form the major components of the immunenetwork. In order for invading organisms to be destroyed, thesesystems must function in a competent and timely fashion.Lymphocytes playa major role in ’the sophisticated immunesystem in human being and proved to form an integral part ofgranulomatous inflammation in human disease. The helper Tcells, together with the macrophages cooperate with B cells (orother T cells) in the initiation of normal immune response. Thesuppressor T -cells are capable of suppressing a large varity ofT -cell and B-cell responses. This work aimed at the evaluation of the role of lympho-cytic, infiltration and its subpopulations in rhinoscleroma tissuesof different stages of the disease with the hope of better under-standing of its pathogens is.
