Abstract:
This study comprised fOUY’ty renal. t.ranepl ant: recipients studiesfor T ceLL subsets in an attempt to predict rejection. ~e protocoLof taking eampl.ee was at day of t ranepl ant: ~ day 3 ~ day ? ~ day 14 ~ day30 and montihl u up to one year. The patients were divided into 3 groups: - 15 patients receivingimmuran~ 16 patients receiving cucl.oepovi.ne A and 9 patients nonran-domized receiving cucl.oepor-ine A and steroids. Th e Lumphocut ee werelobel/led with OKT ser’l-es using the indirect immunofl.uo reecent:technique.tvelve patients had no rejection episodes during the period ofthe study. The renxn.rn nq 28 patients had 44 rejection episodes.Si:r:ty percent of them were accompanied by increase hel.pen/ suppressorratio and 40% were not accompanied by increase ratio. The resuLts confirm the usefuLness of monitoning T ceLL subsets.mse in heLper/suppressor ratio points to an impending rejection. However certain attentions must be taken for interpretation; the teston frequent Lnt emxil:e ~ each data of hel per reuppreeeortaken i.ndi.iridual.l.u , Excl.ue i on of C.M. v. infection as aheLper/suppressor ratio during episodes of rejection
