Screening for Alpha-Thalassemia in Neonates

to evalute the problem of thalassemia in our country we have screened 465 cases(213 male and 252 femaqle)of wwhome 225 cases were cord blood (48.2%)and 240 cases were neonate aged up to one month (52.8%)using automated cell counter(coulter)and according to mcv we have divided our cases into two groups.
