Ultrastructural Mapping of the Atrial Cardiomyocytes in the Rabbit

This work aimed to study in details the structure of the atrial cardiomyoctyes of the rabbit heart. These cells wouls be examined using the electron microscope in the atrial auricular walls as well as in the conducting tissues. This work aimed also to correlate the structure of these cells with their functions including contractility, initiation and conduction of impulses inside the heart in addition to the hormonal functions previously stated by hysiological examinations.
