Calvarial versus iliac bone grafting for nasal dorsum reconstruction

Abstract:
This study was planned to include 20 patients with nasaldorsum deformities. These patients were classified into twomain groups:The first group” 1 0 patients” had nasal reconstruction byusing calvarial bone graft.The second group” 1 0 patients” had nasal reconstructionby using iliac bone graft.Pre-operativly:- all patients were subjected to:Clinical examination.Pre-operative photography.Open rhinoplasty and coronal approaches as surgicaltechniques were used for insertion of the grafts in the dorsum ofthe nose.Postoperatively all patients had been subjected to thefollowing:Serial clinical examination.Standardized photographs.C. T. scanning.At the donor site, calvarial bone graft morbidity is less thaniliac bone graft.
