The study was carried out in University Hospital in Homburg Seer-Deutchland.The sample studied included 20 females and 10 males, whose age ranged from 25-83 years.All patients were submitted also to preoperative and postoperative assessment radiographically. All patients were admitted to the hospital at least 48 hours prior to surgery to undergo a complete medical checkup, preparation and planning for surgery.All patients had recieved preoperative prophylactic antibiotics, and anticoagulant therapy. The average period of hospitalization was 12 days postoperatively, and this was followed by intense and progressing physiotherapy program .Thirty five knees(30 Patients)were included in this work, for the study of the results of total knee replacement.The prostheses used for all patients were Richards prostheses which were semiconstrained prostheses, retaining the posterior crutiate ligaments.
