Study of some biochemical alterations of platelets in patients with atherosclerosis

THE aim of study is to assess some of biochemical parameters in plateles obtained from patients with atherosclerosisin comparision to that obtained from normal subject. The history of atherosclerosis in general dates from ancinet times. Differences in the blood vessels of old and young humanbeings were oberved and noted during the mummification procedures practised in ancient Egypt. The most extensive changes in haemostasis in atherosclerosis takes place in platelets and platelet functions.In this study some biochemical parameters were studied in platelets of twenty patients with atherosclerosis and compared to platelets obtained from fiften apparently normal subjects.
