Histochemical study of rhinoscleroma before and after medical treatment

Abstract:
Summary andconclusion Rhinoscleroma is a disease of world wide distribution and ypt constitutes one of its main foci especially in Sharkia ere the disease is more prevalent.This work is done to throw lights on the effeciency of tibiotics rif ampicin and corticosteroids Kinacort as <medical line of treatment of scleroma through a study ofe histopathological and histochemical changes after treatment mpared to those before. We classified our studied cases into two main groups, I cases were treated by rifampicin tablets, while II cases were treated by combination of the corticosteroid and the antibiotic used in group (I)from our study, we found that the disease was mostin the productive period of life between theand the fourth decades. There was female sex preponderance and the disease in our study was commonly seen amongesthe low standard societies with poor health habits and low Clinically, we found that the nose was ftffected as primary site of the lesion in 96.88% of cases either alone 17% or with other anatomical sites (with the pharynx in 12.5%.
