Role of intralesional ktp laser in the management of hemangioma and vascular malformations in infants and children

This study was undertaken to assess the effect of intralesional KTPlaser photocoagulation on the hemangiomas and venous malformation.Fifty patients with hemangiomas and venous malformations weretreated with intralesional KTP laser during 24 months period.All patients were subjected to:- Full history taking and careful physical examination of the lesion todifferentiate hemangiomas and venous malformation from arterial andlymphatic malformations.- Routine laboratory investigation.- Dupplex study when needed.The therapeutic results were judged to be:...
