Abstract:
THE WORK amid to1Evaluation to the process of the soft tissue expansion in the head andneck: as regards the indications, the expansion details, the flapelevation and complications.2- Histopathological evaluation of the cellular details that possibly occurwith the skin expansion in the head and neck and to discuss thedifferences between the scalp and neck, if present.60 patients were submitted for tissue expansion operation toreconstruct the scalp, neck on and face defects. The most commonindication was the post-burn cicatrization. The patients were groupedasfollow:Group A: 35 patient with scalp defects.Group B: J5 patient with neck and lower face defects.Group C: 10 patients with face defects.For whom, 95 expander were implanted. 35 patients werereconstructed by 2 expanders while overiuflation was done in fortypatients.
